The exhibits present the past and modern history of olive cultivation in the region, as well as the various uses of olive oil (lighting, diet, pharmaceutical uses, cosmetics, religion, etc.). Exhibits include tools and equipment used in olive cultivation and harvesting, the storage of olive oil, the production of olive oil and soap in Marseille, as well as ancient Greek, Latin and Provencal poems dedicated to the olive.
In addition, there are photographs of the oldest olive tree in the region.
